What exactly is Medicare?
As you may know, Medicare is a health insurance program of the U.S. government. It generally covers people who are legal U.S. residents who are 65 or older, or who meet certain other criteria.  For more information specifically on Medicare, visit www.medicare.gov.

People who have not paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years must pay a monthly premium to be enrolled in Medicare.

The program is divided into Parts A, B, C and D.
