Senior Security: A valuable enhancement to your Medicare coverage.
Senior Security goes a step further than traditional Medicare, helping you to pay for expenses that Medicare alone doesn’t cover. If you qualify for Medicare, this supplemental plan is worth a look.

Medicare provides important medical coverage for people eligible for Part A and enrolled in Part B. But that only pays a portion of most medical bills. You’ll still have deductibles, copayments, coverage limitations and exclusions, restrictions on health care services, and other expenses.

It’s smart to decide now how you’ll pay the difference between your health care bills and what Medicare covers. Use retirement savings? Buy supplemental health insurance?

Senior Security Medicare Select can help pay for these costs. Consider what you get:

  • Coverage for Part A Deductible: 100 percent of Part A deductible
  • Additional home health care: An aggregate of 365 visits per year including those covered by Medicare
  • Coverage for Part B Deductible: 100 percent of Part B deductible
  • Coverage for Foreign travel: 100 percent of actual expenses associated with emergency medical care outside the USA

Turning 65 in the next six months?
Don't delay your decision. If Medicare supplement insurance is right for you, you must enroll within six months after you become eligible for Medicare Part B to avoid underwriting. Underwriting is a process of checking your medical records for your health history. You may or may not be eligible for Senior Security if you are underwritten.

More coverage. Less paperwork.
Senior Security Medicare Select offers better coverage for many of the costs you’d otherwise pay out of your pocket. It covers Medicare deductibles and Part A and Part B copayments not covered by Medicare.

Plus, Senior Security Medicare Select simplifies paperwork and pays for such items as routine immunizations, eye exams, hearing tests and routine physicals, as long as you get your care from one of our many affiliated providers.

Less hassle. Local care.
A lot of our affiliated providers are nearby, so they’re easy to reach. Plus, there are no complicated claim forms or other papers to fill out or send in.

When you need health care services, all you do is show your Security Health Plan membership card and your Medicare card. Your provider will do the paperwork for you.

If you live in central, western and northern Wisconsin, chances are good you'll find most of the health care services you need are available close by. In fact, you’ll have access to more than 3,200 affiliated providers, 40 hospitals in our service area, and over 65,000 affiliated pharmacies nationwide.

Health care information. When and where you need it.

Beyond in-person service, Security Health Plan's 24-hour Nurse Line is available if you need health care information over the phone when your doctor's office is not open or if you aren’t sure whether an office visit is needed.

An experienced nurse can help you decide whether you should make an appointment to see your provider, go to the emergency room for immediate care, or how to care for a less serious problem at home.

Of course, the final decision is always up to you.
