Wooden Easter Bunny – Easter Decor
What’s the reality of God vs. the reality of Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny? Its child’s’ play really!
When it comes to deities, God (and Son) are basically the tenderfoots, which is really odd if you consider it if God is the one genuine god and has been here since, well, “at the outset”. Polytheism has a far longer history and timetable than monotheism and even the first (and rather short lived) go at quasi-monotheism in Ancient Egypt had the Sun assuming the job of Mister Big (the Aten). Religious scholars can follow the development of confidence in deities here and there and culture to culture and time to time. I like to imagine that God was created in the picture of Zeus* who thusly was created in the picture of even prior deities that were worshiped by those previous societies, etc back as the centuries progressed, so far back in reality that one can follow anonymous fertility goddesses back into prehistoric time through artifacts that unmistakably had the same sort of significance as the present Christ-on-the-dashboard.
What more would one be able to say about Santa (or Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas or Kris Kringle) that hasn’t been stated hundreds of times previously. Come Xmas time, surely even months before Xmas, Santa and Santa’s picture is all over the place. You’d must be a hermit living in a cavern somewhere out back of past, in Whoop-Whoop or some such spot so as to escape Santa’s promotion, or the publicity about Santa. This character of initially and essentially European old stories can be followed back to the fourth century CE and can just about give God a run for the cash in the longevity stakes We as a whole comprehend what the modern Santa does and what products Santa is associated with and how Santa helps the shops acquire an additional buck or two or twenty. But in any event Santa is an in-your-face sort of fellow, not reluctant to blend it in with the kiddies (and should get a Victoria Cross, Medal of Honor, or similar medals for fortitude far in excess of what was required). Then again, kids don’t find a workable pace God’s lap while at the shopping center or department store. There’s no images of God on Xmas cards (or some other Xmas merchandise so far as that is concerned) so God’s entirely shy. Kiddies get no presents under the tree from God. God doesn’t stand on street corners ringing bells and gathering for charities.
THE EASTER BUNNY
The Easter Bunny (or Rabbit or Hare) that brings Easter Eggs to good little boys and girls is an old German tradition that predates the late 1600’s. So the Easter Bunny is positively not a modern creation by the manufactures of chocolate so as to up the obesity rate. The Easter Bunny is a smidgen more elusive than Santa however there have been occasional sightings around the Easter time of mammoth bipedal rabbits. Authority figures assure skeptical kiddies that the Easter Bunny is really real. Confirmation of that reality resides in each one of those Easter Bunny statues cut all through various kinds and brands of chocolate. Some Christians may call that excessive admiration; most call it tasteful, even yummy. At that point there are every one of those stuffed and cuddly Easter Bunny toys (more excessive admiration) and EB images show up on a wide range of Easter-related merchandise and goodies. So there’s lots of proof that the Easter Bunny (or Bunnies) exist. On the opposite side of the Easter coin, God doesn’t give yummy Easter treats; there are no cuddly stuffed God toys for little youngsters (and boys) to embrace and snuggle up to in bed around evening time. God doesn’t sanction His picture to be used at whenever in wherever, far less the commercial center. IMHO I think God is ashamed of how He looks. God likely looks exceptionally old; wrinkled; extremely dark and presumably stripped.
