Clean the container with soap and water. It would be a good idea to do this, even if the container looks clean. Any dust or earth that is on the container will prevent the paint from sticking. Make certain to scrub off any labels and paste residue. Wipe the container down with scouring liquor. Soak a cotton ball with some scouring liquor and wipe down the container. Make certain to get both the inside and the outside. This will dispose of any residue and oils that the soap missed.

Choose your paint. You can use any color of gleam in obscurity paint, but colors such as yellow and orange would look more like stars than purple and green. Gleam in obscurity paint usually comes in two different forms: fluid paint and puff paint. Fluid shine in obscurity paint is just similar to any acrylic paint and needs to be placed in with a paintbrush. Puff paint comes in a jug with a pointy tip. You can draw with it straight from the jug. You can discover puff paint in the shirt and texture paint section of an arts and crafts store. It might also be labeled as “3D paint” or “dimensional paint.” It has a slightly raised surface when it dries. Pour a coin-sized drop of paint onto a bed or paper plate. It will be easier to dunk your paintbrush into a little puddle of paint than into a container of paint. Try not to spill out an excess of paint at once. Most acrylic paints dry rapidly. If you spill out a lot of paint, it might evaporate before you finish using it. If you are using puff paint, you don’t have to do this, because you can apply the paint straight from the container.
