Valentine’s Day Craft For Kids
My children recently observed Valentine’s Day in their schools. My multi year old and one year old both attend mother’s day out programs at neighborhood churches. They hosted gatherings in their classrooms. It was my first year as a mother making sense of what kind of Valentine’s Day cards to send with my children to school. I chose to let my oldest little girl select the Valentines Day cards for her and her sibling to provide for their classmates. She chose Disney princess themed cards. I would have purchased another container of nonexclusive cards, but every one of my children just had 8 children in their classroom. I would not like to be wasteful, so I just purchased the container of Disney princess cards. I ended up putting a disclaimer on my son’s Valentine’s cards stating that his sister selected them.
When the kids got back home from their schools with their bundles of cards from their classmates, I was stunned at the creativity that went into some of the Valentine’s Day cards. One of the students sent lovable heart shaped helium balloons as one of her gifts. Another little student sent in photograph cards of her and her sibling. There were small little goodie bags stuffed with candy for the whole class. Some children even went the traditional course and made their custom made cards from hand. I definitely was stunned of the differing levels of creativity that the kids/parents went to with sending in Valentine’s cards for their child’s classmates.
