A huge window or a set of sliding doors will help extraordinarily in establishing Garden decor for a room. It would be important not to hinder either of these architectural features with excessive window treatments. Use simple, plain curtains or roller shades if required for protection, but keep the treatments to sheer or translucent drapes. You do not just need to let in as a lot of light as possible, you need to exploit the outdoor scenes as a sort of living artwork for a Garden style room.
The color palette for Garden Cottage decor naturally bases itself on outdoor colors, but these aren’t the profound greens and browns of the forest, as with Rustic Cottage style. Garden style colors are lighter, more representative of what might be seen in a domestic garden: sage green, earthenware, quieted gold, tan earth. White is the complement for these, or it could be used on the walls as a nonpartisan background.
However, absolutely white walls can be harsh and blinding, contrasted with the soft, loosening up state of mind that Garden Cottage style should have. If using white on the walls, ask the paint store to blend in just a dash of a pastel shade of one of different colors, to offer some relief. Or on the other hand, you could choose ivory or cream white to heat up the walls.
